Are allowed to put in multiple levels in a WAD? If so, how many and what is the size limit for each level?------------------ Burp! Dopie eats tomb raiders for breakfast! IP: Logged |

If you are asking if you can use the same WAD for multiple levels, the answer is yes. The only problem is that when you use the same WAD to create the TR4 file for the second level, it will save over the TR4 file of the first level you created. So, the solution is to either rename the first tr4 file before making another level using the same WAD or make a copy of the entire WAD file (located in the WADs folder) and rename each file. If you do this, you will need to make some script changes, too. All of this is covered in the manual in the section on "Creating Your Own Projects" (please check the readme file on the disc..there is a relevant update concerning this process)Regarding the size of each level....this is a little harder to answer because there is not an exact answer. You can get an idea from looking at the example levels about size. Some are heavier on 'real estate' and lighter on enemies, while some are puzzle and trap heavy but set in smaller environments. It is a matter of balance and much depends on the focus of your level. It is best to make a fun playable level being fairly cautious and economical, then you can start pushing the limits until you run into problems! Just make sure you save often with different names so you can revert to an earlier version if necessary! IP: Logged | |
