Is there any way to design levels with the textures and wads from TRC or are we stuck with TRLR exclusively?

For this to work you need to somehow grab the original textures from TRC.
However, there is no such program available from EIDOS/CORE. But you may want to look into the directory "Extra Textures" in your trle directory! :-)

you can make texture files with the program wally, which is a half life tool! but you can use it for trc too! just paint! very easy! you have to download it at: http://gaming.halflife.net ! try to!
