I know that most of the WADs feature pushable objects, but is it possible to just define a block in the map as movable? In other words, how can I create those movable blocks that were so common in all of the earlier TR games?

It isn't possible to designate a building block as pushable. Pushable blocks must be objects that are placed in the model. TR4 really didn't use many of the older style blocks.....you'll have to check the WADs to see what is available.

Yes, and that is why we need a WAD with more "generic" objects as pushable blocks without any eygptian decoration or any pushable egyptian statues.
