I would like to thank everyone at Eidos and Core who made it possible for the release of the Tombraider Level Editor. I have spent every night since buying my copy glued to my pc into the very early hour programming my own levels. Despite constant criticism, you have managed to release what everyone has been asking for! May I remind everyone that both Core and Eidos were under no obligation to release a level editor. I think they have done admirably in producing a first version level editor which allows everyone insight into the work that was carried out in producing the Tombraider : The Last Revelation game. This Level editor allows a platform from which beginners can start to produce their own Worlds for Lara. Is there any plan to release updates for the Level editor and Wad files via Internet download? and if so when is this anticipated? Once again thank!!!! IP: Logged |

I agree 100% with Doc Willard. I've become obsessed with creating levels, and although The Last Revelation WADS are a bit limiting, they still give us plenty to play around with for a while (still, I hope more WADS do become available!) While Chronicles itself is disappointingly short, especially compared to the epic that was The Last Revelation, the inclusion of the editor adds years of playability. From the day I first played the original game back in 1997, I've wanted to build my own levels... now I can. The editor also helps the critics among us appreciate how difficult it is to create truly inspired levels. Thanks guys, and thank you Reb for answering some of the painfully obvious questions that pop up on the forum (mine included, I'm sure.)IP: Logged |
