Ok its like this, the game has been out for a
little while and I dont want to sound realy pushy nor do I want any more limited wads but
does anybody else feel like we should have gotten some type of recognition and a answer for the real question at hand?
(WHEN DO WE GET REPAIRED WADS)
If its not in the future of core/eidos to fixed the limitations/short cuts or what ever you want to call it, then I would like to know ASAP. Because if not then its going to have a major set back on the editors replay value. Maybe not right away, but eventually your gonna get tired of the same ole stuff you can and can not do.

I agree the interest factor is bound to fizzle out if the limitation to the current wads are not addressed soon and I believe that Reb has made an announcement to some of the wads and their limitations.

Unfortunatley, as you said Core/Eidos are under no obligation to offer support for the TR Level editor

I think that if they had decided to not release any updates to the editor or the wads, they would have said so by now!

Everyone in this forum would like to see a release sooner than later, but we can't force these things. Im sure you know that if things are rushed there are bound to be errors left unchecked. I would rather them take a little longer to release an update that please all of us in the long term.

We're trying to get you a few before the holidays. I am really sorry I can't give you dates but we will try to get more out as soon as we can. Don't give up...sometimes the wheels turn kind of slow...

P.S. Everyone is so anxious for additional WADs but I have only seen two fairly small levels completed thus far!

That is because we all wait for fixed and/or new WADs to become available
You will then see approx. 100 levels per day LOL

Rebbeca, I've found a new 'limit' in city.wad. If your people are trying to get the wads updated, I thought you might need to know about it. It's the animation for lara wading in waist deep (2 click) water, it's not there.

It's a shame that the only wad with a vehicle is also the most limited in other respects, with no wading in water, no monkey swing, or climbing. But I s'pose this may be because the moterbike takes a lot of animation memory?

Thanks for the heads up re the wading water animation. We'll keep amending the list. You are probably right about the memory issues. It is a shame, I agree, that so many moves are missing from this WAD (but you can have Lara blow up a Huey with a massive explosion and everything!! ). I'm sure folks are growing tired of hearing me say "work within the limitations" but these are the same limitations the Core designers had to work with!! True, they had around 30 different WADs, but they didn't have the variety in each WAD that most of the seven that shipped with the Editor have. It would have been ideal if each WAD contained every single animation for every single move, etc. and maybe this is still possible. I truly am sorry I can't give you dates as to when we might be able to post the updated wads. It's a bad time of year...many people are already out of the office for the holidays and won't be returning until the New Year. In the meantime, did you ever play Philip Campbell's 'Fool's Gold' level in TombII Gold? He created a snowmobile 'track' on the rooftops surrounding the mining complex, complete with jumps and special maneuvers... it was a great fun.... )
