I have tried running TRLE on Windows 2000 which works fine until I quit the editor and start it again later. If I want to load a project TRLE says "Arg list too big" and does NOT find the texture file, although it has been installed in the recommended location.
The problem is that after giving a message that the textures could not be loaded it crashes (Hi Dr. Watson!).

Why?
The (german) TRC CD box says you need W95/98/Me/00 for TRC and additionally at least 1024x768px with 16bit and 300MB of uncompressed harddisk for the level editor, so it MUST run on Windows 2000 (because thatīs what I can read on the box).
Why are these problems occuring?

Hi John,
I had exactly the same problem once when I made a mistake in the level I was building in Win98.
I wonder if the error occurs due to Win2000.
Did you also build the level in Win2000 or did you load one you've builded in Win98?
And what is asked for after the message 'Arg list too big' a 'tga' or a 'pcx'?

c ya
Pytr.

JC : (supposing that you have both operating systems installed on your system)
Did you installed the editor only in Win98 and then booted Win2000 and launched
the program? If you did so,then try to install it in Win2000 too. Some programs work fine when installed in one OS and just launched in another(Lightwave 3D runs fine)but others don't.I'm not sure but this could also be a filing system difference bettween Win98 and Win2000.
