I got a room 2 clicks high for a crawl hallway. The door never connects right from any angle. All my measurements are correct.

It works for me.Are you sure you are selecting the proper wall squares before hiting door?Post a step by step description of the process you are following and/or a screenshot and i'll help.

This will be hard to describe but I'll do my best. For now I've worked around it.

1. 1st Room is one of a series of stacked rooms with an opening 2 clicks tall in the lower-right corner.

2. 2nd Room is 2 clicks tall and I have the ceilings matched perfectly with room 1.

I have them lined up correctly b/c when I try other positions I get the "Invalid door" error. But every time I try it seems to "create" extra blocks in the room ABOVE room 1.

Maybe I'll get it next time.

I was having that problem too but learned that playing with the ceiling and floor levels or the room level will solve this problem in most cases. but try connecting the door from the crawl space side rather than the open room side and then check for wafer thin walls. You might need to have extra blocks to change to walls in order to not have wafer thin walls.

If you want to place your crawl-room in the lower right corner of your main room then you have to line up the floors of the two rooms and not the ceilings. If you are doing this right and keep getting an error then make sure you are selecting the proper squares.Say ,if your crawlroom is 2 squares in width then in the plan view panel you should see 4 grey squares making your wall. You have to select only the 2 center squares and then make your door.
Ocasious is right. It's easier to connect the rooms from the crawl-room side.

I'm not connecting the floors. What I'm doing is raising the floors so it will be a pull-up-from-hang-into-crawlspace move. If that makes any sense; so I have to line up ceilings.

I have tried to connect it from both rooms with no luck, so I've improvised.
