This is a petition to ask for Larson and Pierre (TR1 and Chronicles), and all the other memorable characters, to be put into a new WAS file, downloadable from the Eidos or Core website. If you agree, post a reply below!IP: Logged |

Well, only in combination with a WAD editor. Or are you really sure that you only want both of them in a WAD? What about the other objects? New restrictions?IP: Logged |

I think putting just the two characters would be a little undermining, i'd like to see wad's for all of the past games objects. Now that would be really cool. I've been doing the Midas Palaces level for some time now, and its turning out really well, the only problem is that i will have to use a wad from either coastal or catacombs. All i did was get the textures from TR1 and pronto, i also used a viewer for viewing the original levels on account of building them. The next one will be Caves. Copying the textures espeacially from ceillings is a major drag man.

A WAD editor would be a nice idea -- however I doubt that many of us have the patience and skill required to develop our own WADs from scratch. I would be very pleased if Core would give us some more WADs to work with. The level editor is great, but the lack of WADs seriously limit its potential.------------------ Just putting in my two cents. IP: Logged |

I'm also anxiously waiting for a wad editor or to make it a little more workable a WAD COMPILER So a huge stock of wad objects and animations and a compiler with empty slots for each type of object. e.g. furniture, rock, objects etc. This way the wad will never be too large and you can take out the things you don't use to create some memory space. Like no Lara animation for the sixshooter if you don't intend to use it. With this option we never have to bother Eidos anymore for new wads, it's one more effort of them and we're off.REB, would you please inform at Eidos and respond weather this idea is realistic and if so what period of time we should be thinking of ???? Yes Pytr, I think that your idea is a good one, it would then perhaps solve the problem of how to distribute more data. They could put some more object files somewhere and you could then download whatever you wished to and compile it somehow, assuming that this is actualy how it is done. So yeah, I'm all for that, as a tool similar to the one you described must exist.Cheers, Opdam IP: Logged |
