If you want to use the horizon from city of the dead, or some other, you have to use that particular wad file, as the horizon textures are stored in the wad. However, you should be able to swap the skys around, by re-naming the .rar files in the wad directory.IP: Logged |

However, the problem with that is that the top of the sky won't match the horizon ...they are two seperate graphics ....unfortunately, only one can be edited (the top) so if you change its color it won't match the horizon. In the case of city.was, you can change the cloud color (as long as you leave the background black t match the horizon). I suppose if you wanted to do something different with the top sky graphic (.raw file in the WAD) you could make high enough walls all around so that all you see is the top of the sky........IP: Logged |

Actually, in the tut1 and karnak levels you CAN change the sky and still have it look right. It's just that you can't change it to any color you want, but there are quite a few colors you can change it to (on a side note, after changing the sky to red (trying to make it look like the last levels in TRLR) it just didn't look right anymore being blue (since if you look at the tops of the mountians, they have a reddish tint to them). I would say experiment, and see if the color you want looks right or not. Honestly, the only level you can't really change the sky on is Coastal Ruins, becuase part of the sky is painted onto the object BG. IP: Logged | |
