The manual doesn't say how to get a switch to open a door. Can someone spell it out for me?

Select the door, then select the floor square where the switch is on, then select the pink trigger button.(when you left click on the pink square in plan view it reads:"trigger for door type...")

Next select your switch, select the floorsquare the switch is on, press the pink trigger button and change the type of the trigger to:"switch". (left clicking the pink square in plan view reads:"switch for ...switch"

If the switch is somewhere else then your door you can also 'heavy' trigger the door with a flyby camera as described in the manual ("seeing things differently",setting up the pick-up trigger in the upper stackroom)

I also had trouble remembering this after I had finished the tutorial level. If you need to look it up in the manual it's on page 47 in Scorpion Room.

Please don't be shy about looking for similar set-ups in the example levels! Usually you can figure out what has to be done by looking at the triggers (by clicking repeatedly on the pink squares in the Plan View Grid to bring up the yellow message boxes) There are trigger to object and object to trigger buttons that help you find what is linked to what.
