In the spirit of the HOLIDAYS, I am offering the TR CHRONICLES TEXTURES all for download. Head on over to my site, THE LARA CROFT FILES and read the instructions there!I guarantee that the textures are in high quality GIF format and are easily convertible to TGA using graphics software such as IrfanView. So head on over now! I'll have texture sets from TR 1, 2 and 3 available later on. ------------------ Make your own world. THE LARA CROFT FILES IP: Logged |

Be careful! GIF only supports 256 colors whereas TGA supports 16.77 million colors, so by converting them from the original format to GIF and then converting them to TGA you miss lots of colors! Why not as a zipped TGA file?IP: Logged |

Just in case you've checked it out and had errors, check it out again. I just fixed it. If the "file not found" message still appears, just try the link again. that was what I did. The file is there, trust me. ------------------ Make your own world. THE LARA CROFT FILES IP: Logged |

You might be interested to know that in TRI and II, only 256 colors were supported, so any files used from those earlier versions will have that limitation. IP: Logged |

There are probably more settings possible when saving a TGA-file, and perhaps it's got something to do with the amount of bits color that's used or something like that... Usually, when I encounter problems like these (I also use PhotoShop 6.0) I copy one of the original TGA files, give it the desired name, open in up in PhotoShop, open up the file with the graphics (in this case, one of the files you downloaded), select all, copy and paste into the renamed TGA-file, flatten layers, and save... If you choose to Save instead of Save as... you are certain that the file is saved in exactly the same format as it was before you altered it... mind you, if you forget to flatten the layers, using Save won't work, as the layers are an Adobe-thingy, and Save will work like Save as... Hope this helps, Best regards, Striffelbuur.

I ran into this same problem when I saved as an 8 bit TGA. Converted to 24 bit and it worked just fine.

I use paintshop 6 to make my textures, when you go save as a .tga there should be a options button you have to select the right "VERSION".Type 2 accually.
