Hi. I have started making a level pretty sucessfully, copied the city wads & tga, and renamed them to city2. I've edited english.txt & script.txt and run script script.txt, and copied the 3 files to the trle directory. Now I get the error message "Failed To Setup DirectX" when I run tomb4.exe to try it out... I'm pretty sure it's something dumb I'm doing, because in the manual it says that if you get that error message, to just restart. I have, numerous times, but I still get the same message!!! Oh, and once instead of the DirectX message above, I just got an error message popup box thing, but just with the letter "s" where the error message would be! Has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be? While going through the tutorial in the manual, everything worked when just overwriting tut1, I just must be doing something wrong when creating the new one!

Ermm that sound if the PROGRAM itself has gone bad..
copy your levels and try to RE-INstall trle, unninstalling and then deleting the files from c:\Program Files\Core Design\trle

after it, install again and try running your level again
