To joins rooms you need to be in the 2D map. Highlight the room you want to connect. Press and hold the right mouse button and drag the room over to the other room and have the walls touch. On the plan view screen highlight the grey wall facing the room you want to connect to. Now press the black button under the plan view screen. Your rooms should be connected. Be sure the rooms are at the same level.

Oh and if you want you can join rooms using the ceilng or the floor. Set one room up and find its ceiling height. Set up another room to have a floor the same height as the other rooms ceiling. Move the room to be on top over the lower room and line them up the same way using the 2D map. Now select the blue tiles on the plan view and hit the door button. By leaving blue squares you can create ledges.

Yes, you can. Baddies do not have to carry anything on them. As with any other object, just click in a white space to unselect any squares, make sure the baddie or object you want to put in the level is in the object window, then click on the long 'place object' button. Then click on the square that you want to place the baddie or object. It should appear there. Now to make them appear in the level, you need to make a trigger. to do this, unselect all squares, then click on the square(s) you want to be triggers. Then click on the little purple square button above the objects window. Your selected squares should turn purple. Now when you play the level, as soon as you walk over those trigger squares, the baddie will appear where you placed him, ready to attack! - A word of caution, make sure to place the trigger around a corner or something, or the baddie will just appear out of thin air!

I'm having trouble connecting stacked rooms as well. I'm following the tutorial and cannot get the stacktopx/stack2x set to stack on top of stack3. What am I doing wrong?
