I don't like the format of the level editor. I can only use a few textures, a few objects and I can't add any textures or objects to my program because no one can help me with my downloading problem (when the file downloads it shows up as a word file and when I open it, it shows a bunch of gibberish that I don't understand). I don't understand half of the freakin manual. And because of this, my candle is burning out. If you guys have anything to help me out and lift my spirits, then please spill it here. (such as making an outside environment, or using the downloaded files such as TRViewer, morelike how do I get it downloaded correctly) Thanks------------------ cliffjumper IP: Logged |

I don't know if this is your problem, but you can simply load textures into your level by clicking load TGA, and objects it's just load objects. Some people can make their own textures, but I can't because I can't convert to TGA. Do you know where you can download TGA files in TGA format? Whoops, do you mean additional textures and objects? If so, never mind! [This message has been edited by Raider of Tombs (edited 12-31-2000).] IP: Logged |

You can actually do quite a lot with the editor, provided you take the time to work through the tutorial and study the reference section. I'm not suggesting it's perfect or limitless, but just look at some of the sample levels and you'll see that there are definite possibilities. Now, if only we could convince Eidos to release some WADs to accompany those "extra textures"....
