I have two finished levels now, and I want to copy them onto a CD with my CD-RW (so I can give them to friends.) I've copied all of the files from the root directory ("TRLE") to the blank CD, and then I used the level converter to "build" my levels, using paths on my CD-RW as the destination directory. All of this worked fine, and it looks as if all of the necessary files are now on the CD (in fact, if I look at the TRLE directory on my hard drive and compare it to the one on the CD-RW, they're identical.) However, when I try to start the game, I can only get as far as the menu screen. When I try to actually begin playing, the first level starts loading, and then I'm dumped back to Windows. Any ideas on how to solve this?IP: Logged |

Hiya,I guess it entirely depends upon the location where you have actually INSTALLED the trle; info like this is stored in the Windows registry, so I think the quickest solution is to let people copy the data from the CD into the appropriate directories on their own systems, seeing how this location might differ from system to system... Good point. I was kind of hoping I could make the game run almost entirely off of the CD like the real TR games do (and save some harddrive space in the process.) Oh well. IP: Logged | |
