Maybe that coastal.TOM-file is damaged... Maybe it helps if you copy your level files to a different place on your computer, and uninstall your editor, and re-install it again... Check than if your coastal level plays...IP: Logged |

I know it seems silly, but have you made sure that Lara is placed in the level? I mean the acutal object called Lara, you have to place that or else it won't work. When you complie the level in tom2pc it lists any errors in the pane on the right, check that.IP: Logged |

You know now that you mention it I am having the same problems, but im using the tut wad and every time Use the draw doors button the editor closes too. I see no error messages and everything is playing right in the game. And it wasnt always doing this. In fact I think it has something to do with using flipmaps, because thats when it first happen,,,,,by any chance is the start room of your level a flipmap or is there a flipmap very close by?.....post back, trying to figure out problem.IP: Logged |

Load up the example coastal ruins project and make a TR4 file and see if it plays. If it does, you may have developed a bug in your project. Go back to earlier versions to see if any of them work. (you did save different versions, I hope!) It is really important to check your level frequently 'in-game' to make sure it works....it is no fun to have spent days on something only to find out you may have to trash the whole thing....If the original coastal ruins doesn't work, then reinstall because some of your files may have been corrupted. Good luck!IP: Logged |

no worries, I had the same problem but fixed it. One of your objects is outside the room area, perhaps just by one click, check all your objects especially doors. The objects are nearly always the cause of crash outs for me...For a total bug fix, you are gonna have to separate all your rooms one by one to check them. You should be running and testing your level constantly because you are dealing with delicately buggy software which doesn't allow space for errors. But it all works fine if you do it right. We did try to stress often in the tutorial how important it is to save different versions and to save often and to test often. I hope you get it working!!! Good luck!IP: Logged |
