I'm having problems with pickup triggers. Here's what I'm doing. I place an object. set the pickup trigger on the object's square. Put a door or SAS guy somewhere else and put their normal trigger on the object square too. When I pickup nothing happens.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I'm not sure, but I think you have to set the SAS trigger as a pickup, too! Hope this helps!

You don't need a "pickup" trigger to pick things up.

Just what are you trying to do?

You are doing everything right except for one thing. Open the OCB window for the object you are picking up and enter the number 64.

Check out page 83 in the manual.

OK, I've tried that but it still doesn't work. I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Would someone go through the steps? I must be missing something. But what?

Ok, let’s do it step by step. Let’s have Lara pick up a shotgun and that will cause a door to open.

Place the shotgun on the floor and put a trigger for it on the same square. Open the Set Trigger Type window and change Type to PICKUP.

Select the shotgun and push the letter o key on your keyboard to open the OCB window. Type the number 64 in the text box, push enter then click OK.

Finally place a normal trigger for the door on the same square as the shotgun.

Now when Lara picks up the shotgun the door will open.

except if you're me, then it doesn't. I think I may try this in a different WAD or level. Something odd is happening, maybe it has something to do with the level I'm working on.
