Hello everyone. I have not gotten the Level Editor to work right yet. I'd be very grateful if someone could help me, because I'm dying to try it out. .

I start the TRLE and it freezes immediately. I tried readjusting the monitor settings and reinstalling several times.

When I click on "tut1.prj" and open it with winroomedit, It gives me three error messages: "Arg list too big," "Cannot load system textures," and "Cannot find "objects.h". Then it freezes.

If you've experienced a problem like this or can think of a solution, please respond or email me. Even if it's a wild guess, please help. (I have Windows ME and the other programs work fine). I'll be grateful to you FOREVER

If you are getting those three messages it means you didn't install to the default directory on your C drive. If you don't want to reinstall, look in the Troubleshooting section...it tells what to do when you get those particular messages....you'll have to hit cancel, then when the window pops up, you need to find the graphics\wads folder and load tut1.was. After you load the .was file and close out of that window, you will need to choose 'load texture' under 'Textures' in the pulldown menu, find the MAPS folder and load the tut1text.tga. Now save your project and the next time you load it everything will load up automatically. Since you are not installed on the C drive, you will have this problem with every project you open.

Can you please tell me what the default install-directory is? Where did you install it on your computer? I think my version of Windows has the wrong directory or something^_^

When you first start the Editor, a box will come up asking you if you want to "load the last autosaved" level.

You MUST click on either "Okay" or "Cancel" before you click anywhere else on the screen, or the Editor freezes.

It's mentioned in the Troubleshooting section under "Crashes" on page 116.

When you installed the editor it should have created a folder on your C drive. Here is the correct path:

C\program files\core design\trle

If you are set up on your C drive with this path, you won't get any error messages when you load projects.

no, no.
She is talking about a different error.

Even if you install it correctly and even if
it is on C:drive with the correct path this
crash still happens!

Everything is fine but after a week or so of using the program, the editor freezes immediately on load up no matter what you are working on.

So what is causing it? Re-installing doesn't sound like the correct de-bugging answer.
Why does the error appear in the first place?
