Does anyone have any ideas on how to make bottomless pits? I don't think there were any on the tutorial levels, but I know quite a few levels throughout the series had places where Lara would fall, scream several times, and then die without us ever seeing her hit the bottom.

Thanks. But won't she still hit the bottom at some point? Well, I'll give it a shot.

Set the lighting in the pit to about '10' all around and assign dark textures to the floor and walls and maybe if you have some 'bone' objects you can place them at the bottom to show that other adventures have been and died!

Maybe an idea - I haven't tried, but what if you put a fixed camera pointing at Lara while she is falling. The more she falls, the more she is far away from the Cam, and with the distance, you may not hear the "thumb" when she "breaks her neck" down in the pit.

I would be interested to know if this does the trick

I think there is a button in the LE for "sudden death". I guess it depence on Lara's actual move how she dies.
I am not sure and I cannot test it here...
