Why is it that lara falls right through the door_type4 in the newcity wad?

Did you set the trigger as a dummy?

No but won't a dummy trigger not activate the door, or do I have to set a trigger and a dummy?

same problem here.

If the door is switched how can you trigger the door as a dummy, no over laping special triggers.

Do you put the dummy trigger on the door square and a normal trigger on the switch square?

Also can you raise and lower this door. I've had problems with the other trap door (metal one). The game crashes if this object is raised or lowered.

I'm still working on this.

I've tried putting dummy triggers under door4. The problem is that it's in a stacked room which makes it more complicated. My understanding is that you would put the dummy in the bottom room, even if the door is in one of the uper rooms. I've tried several combinations , but with no luck.

Lara climbs right through.

There must be more to this.

Any ideas?

I can make trapdoors easily!
Place a trapdoor somewhere. DO NOT MOVE THE DOOR UP AND DOWN! Select the trapdoor, then Select the square where the trap door has been placed in the editor window and press the pink trigger button.

Lara will go straight through the trapdoor if the trapdoor is moved around a lot before triggering.

Hope this helps

It's not so much making them.

I've got the trapdoor to work fine now and for some reason that does not need a dummy trigger.

Door4 probably does need a dummy trigger but even when I use one, it doesn't work.

I'm going to try some tests in a simple room situation and see if I can get to the bottom of this.
