Topic: how do u copy the dat files in to your root directory?

i want to play the lost libaray level which i downloaded the new wads but i load t5he project up save it. output as libaray.TOM convert it but when i go on the editor the level doesn't show up?reb@eidos told me to copy the dat files into the root directory but how do i do that? IP: Logged |

You just COPY the dat files, and PASTE them into the right directory. Another way would be by using the good old DOS-prompt... copy *.dat to the right folder, and presto... you're done... Best regards, Striffelbuur. IP: Logged |

well i still don't get itdo you copy and paste the scrit.dat or the english.dat to play the level or did the dat files come with the download? well if they did i didn't get them? IP: Logged |

Both the new_wads0110.zip and the angkor.zip contain revised script.dat & english.dat files; the revised_wads0110.zip doesn't, but then again, these don't need new scripts, since they are the old levels you already had... Best regards, Striffelbuur. IP: Logged |

I read somewhere in the forum that someone has already sent you these files, but I hope you'll realize now that you should always keep the original zip-archives safe when working with project-files such as these... Always backup, backup, backup! Best of luck, Striffelbuur.
