You can go to either www.trlevels.com
or
bigproject.trlevels.com
for all the info you need about this project.
And believe me, it's worth the effort.
The game will be set in the Hymalayas, El Dorado, Alcatraz and China (Tai Shan)
The game's going to be a preguel to TR1, about the forgotten adventure from Lara's skiing trip.

Will it have a built-in menu system and be separate from the editor, or is it just a collection of user-created levels?

It will be a game that takes you from the first level to the last, like any other Tomb Raider game. So when you start a new game, only the first level is accesible.

These projects sound really ambitious, and I'd love to see them when they're done. I am curious though, as to how you're sidestepping the problem of the Egyptian motif on most of the WADs. I know we've all whined about this enough already, but from the sound of it, none of your levels are set in Egypt, so you must have figured out some kind of solution. Please let me know what it is!

We're working our way around the problem by only using WAD that aren't typical for Egypt, nobody ever said crocodiles only lived in Egypt, or that there were only Egyptian motorcycles driving around, it's all just a matter of being creative

Well what about scenes for Russia and Mediterranean (viewing Black Sea also), nuclear test site on beach and underground tunnel with secret lair, super computer with desktop console and monitor, network of tunnels and secret launching facility under Russian airforce base, pilot inside missile with storing crate, moon base and space station in meteor shower, Japan and missile crash in ocean, England countryside and Stone Henge, multiple disasters and lightning, Etc.

How would we do that?
Are we biting off more than we can chew?
