I am having a problem with the animation for water surfaces. I am using the cathedral dwonloaded texture set. I tried to add the water texture to the animation range but when I load up the level it remains stationary. I also tried copying a water texture into my texture set from the tut1text set. When I added this to the set it didn't work either. By the way I am using transparent double sided and face edit etc so I don't know what could be wrong. Please help.IP: Logged |

yep, I'm texturing it from above. Does any of this have anything to do with the fact that I pasted in the water texture?IP: Logged |

Before pulling out any more hair, run some tests to make sure you don't have a buggy level....for instance, set up an animation range on a series of textures towards the top of the texture map, then apply those textures to your model (doesn't matter if they make sense as an animation, this is only a test). If they work then you know, at least, that animations are capable of running in your level. Did you add the row of water textures to the very bottom of the texture map? They may need to be moved higher up within the map...don't ask me why! Try moving the texures you pasted in from tut1 higher up in the map, then see if they work in their new location. You may have to do some retexturing...but at least you will have animating water!! Good luck! [This message has been edited by Reb@Eidos (edited 01-29-2001).] IP: Logged |

Another detail......Make sure the whole set is selected within A SOLE RANGE !(select and drag across, then set click OK) Since its a cycle, it wont work if your set is made of several indivivdual green boxes (in the animation range).
(look carefully page112-Interface).
Oh and please, dont drown her!!!!! lol
