PALACE MIDAS from TR1.
XIAN from TR2 was good too though.

I liked almost all of Last Revelation, but if I had to choose a favorite.... hmmm... I'd have to say that the whole complex of levels involving the Lost Library, The Catacombs, the Coastal Ruins, etc, etc. was a definite highlight.

And I'll have to differ with the tons of people who loved the VCI tower in Chronicles. The designers were downright stingy when it came to med-packs and ammo. Without a walkthrough, the final level was nightmarish.

Yeah, right... I practically didn't use any medpacks during TR-Chronicles at all, and it was a relatively easy TR-game; great and enjoyable game, though. TR3 is the nightmarish game in my opinion.

Best regards,
Striffelbuur.

I agree, tr3 was terrible! IT WAS SO HARD.
TR1 will always be the best, even though trc is pretty good. Does anyone know how to get wads from TR1, I want that kid on a skateboard in "Natalya's Mines."

Okay, Striffelbuur, you made your point... you're obviously better at TR than I am. Yeah, Chronicles was by far the easiest game in the series, and you didn't need medpacks for most levels. But when you have a helicopter, an android, random explosions and poison gas all trying to kill you at once, an extra medpack or two would have been appreciated.

And I agree with you about TR3. It was pretty tough in parts. For anyone making levels right now, please avoid making those "Roberta Williams"-style traps (traps that kill you with no warning whatsoever. Anyone who's ever played a Roberta Williams game will know what I'm talking about.)

Well, I also find TRC quite easy, except for the last level that was a real challenge. But it's definitely not my favourite. TR3 was a great moment but, as most of us I suppose, the absolute game was TR1.
In order, I would rank the games as such:
1-TR1
2-TR3
3-TRLR
4-TR2
5-TRC
As for a favourite level, it's hard to decide, isn't it!

MARKO, I AGREE THE RIVER GANGES IS THE BEST LEVEL EVER. I WISH WE COULD GET A WAD FOR THAT SO WE COULD DRIVE THE ATV. THAT WAS SO COOL. I ALSO WISH WE COULD PUT THE T-REX INTO THE GAMES WITH ALL OF THE OTHER DINOSUARS. IT WOULD SPICE THINGS UP ALOT. ALSO AREA 51 WADS WOULD BE AWESOME TO HAVE WITH ALL OF THE ALIENS AND THOSE KILLER WHALES IN THAT TANK. AND THE ROCKET LAUNCHER AND STUFF.

I hated the London levels in TR3 - they were so confusing. All I remember is climbing ladders and swimming with frogmen. Very boring!

I liked TR3 the best because it offered the best challenges, which I am always up for a good challenge. TR4 was also really good. All in all I like the whole series pretty much equal, except TR1 I didn't like her hair style, she looked like nun or something, HAHA

I thoght tr3 didnt have much of a story but was really fun because of all the vehicles and outfits. Tr4 had a really good story line but Lara was a bit stuck up. TrC was really good because it was realy straight forward and more exciting. Tr1 i thought got pretty dull after awhile but fighting the aliens was intense. Tr2, the sunken ship levels were very confusing but the settings were very creative. One of my favourites though would have to be the Madubu Gorge or whatever it was in tr3. It was a very beautiful level and was very relaxing and realistic.

Since I see people are now listing whole games in order of preference (rather than just levels), here's mine....

1. Last Revelation- it made the whole series seem new and interesting again by adding all new puzzle elements and animations. It was also massive and had the most epic storyline.

2. Tomb Raider 1- Hey, it started the whole thing, how could you not like it?

3. Tomb Raider 3- A bit tough (and unfair) at times, but it had great variety

4. Chronicles- Very good, but too short, and a step backwards from Last Revelation in terms of level design and plot

5. The Lost Artifact- I know it was just an expansion pack, but it had some really great levels

6. Tomb Raider 2- Way too much fighting and not enough puzzles.

I like TR5 the best because you get to go to places that are real! The design is excellent and you can see why the game is so short...because they put everything in to each level to make it realistic and beautiful.

I liked TR3 as well because you got to go to Lara's house and I like the London levels. Plus the fact it was so long and still excellent and I like it when Lara wears different things.

TR2 was OK but it was a bit boring.

TR1 is C R A P! I don't know why people like it, I can't stand Lara's frame! What can I say, I am one for technology not history!

TR4 was too hard for me! I could only get about three quarters of the way through and then I couldn't be arsed! Plus Lara never changed clothes, it was all set in one place, (which was boring) and the puzzles did my head in!!

i have to be a little contraversial here. I hate Lara's new voice..the one in tr4 and 5. i hate it SOOOOO much!!!! the best voice was tr3. They should bring her back. well i am inclned to agree with lara severi. tr1 was a little crap...but i played it after tr3. Then came tr4 and i was like "evolution". I joined this bandwagon after tr2 - which in my opinion was the best.....especially china. Sorry. I liked tr3 cos it had nevada (where my cousin lves) and london (where i live) so it was intersting to see who lives in st. pauls cathedrals bell tower!!!!

TR 4 WAS HARD and i hated being trapped in a tomb for weeks. it got boring. i want some wads for other games levels not just textures. they can get boring. i want dino's, jeeps, the TRAIN.....loads!!

ok sorry. does anyone remember the cool thing in TR1 (I KNOW I SAID I WASN'T KEEN ON THE GAME BUT I LIKED BITS LIKE MIDAS' HAND THING WHERE SHE TURNS TO GOLD) I love the woman you shoot but she looks all muscly and dirty and yuk. i liked that. i made her fall down the hole if i remember rightly.

ok byeeeee (K)

My top 5 would be
1. St. Francis Folly TR1
2. All Hallows TR3
3. The Opera House TR2
4. Gallows Tree TR5
5. Temple Of Puna TR3

I found TR5 annoying co it kept crashing
I think TR1 is the best (even though it's the only TR that I've yet to finish)
