Just a bit of shellfish egomania here; as it's taking me a wee bit longer to build my level, I couldn't resist showing off for a moment...

Let's hope I'll get round to finishing it this lifetime ;-)

Cool, huh? Anyway, apologies for this little mind-trip of mine...

Can you walk on that grating that goes around the ladder, or is it just a transparant texture with two sides of grating? Great level, nice window effect!

What a very cool level ,and I was wondering if you could submit those textures to me because those textures look pretty cool.
Oh, by the way, what program did you use to make those textures?

Well, there you have it ;-) It's indeed a transparent texture with opacity 2 switched on; still thinking about making the grating a bit more thin at the point where it goes around the ladder, so that it doesn't come as a complete surprise when Lara falls off ;-)

Best regards,

Well, I'm still mainly working on the textures to make some more outside panoramas... Once I'm done, the result will be made publicly available.

I've used a Sony Mavicam to make the photographs; I then edited the textures in PhotoShop 6.

Well, you don't have to... the digi-cam I used is the property of our company, so I was lucky enough to have access to this nice little gadget, but there are other ways as well; you can take normal photographs, and put them on a scanner; scanners are reasonably cheap, so you're bound to know someone who has got one...

Considering that you need to reduce the resolution quite a bit anyway, the quality of the original graphic is not of paramount importance.

Greetz & best of luck,
Striffelbuur.

Well, it'll probably still take me some time to finish it; I've only done the architecture now, and I'm thinking of making this one just sort of a small demo-level to show what can be achieved by creating one's own texture-map and building something else than tombs, tombs, and even more tombs ;-)

Once it's finally finished I'll probably post it on our own site at http://www.usmedia.org

Best regards,
Striffelbuur.
