Hi, some of you already know that I am in the midst of creating lara texture templates for novice outfit editors. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share the work with me, because it is a big job. In the end I would like to have Lara templates for all the wads with different parts of her (i.e. shirt shoes, shorts) in different bright solid colors so people can just fill them in. I am suffering what other people have suffered before me, though, and currently in search of lara's urm...posterior crack. If anyone knows the location of this texture (aroundabouts) on the puzzle of textures, it would really help me speed up my finishing of shorts template.IP: Logged |

Yeah, this IS hard to discern what goes with what...making a template is a very good idea.It would be cool if someone with the knowlede of C (or another programming lingo)could create a program that would decode the jumbled maps and load them onto wire-frame models ('dummies' if you will) so that you could preview what the modified WADs would look like in-game, and to see if there are any mis-colored places in the bitmap. But that's rather far-fetched.

IMHO i'd find very useful, not to paint the entire texture, instead make outlines(in bright colour) of the parts that can be modified so that we can figure out exactly what part of Lara's body is that. Keep up the good workIP: Logged |

I like the outline idea, however I don't think it would be as helpful to novice outfit editors. With the solid fill, they can just fill in their color. You can't do much other than a solid color article of clothing with this, I know, but in the end I think allows for more creativity.------------------ Visit my site at http://members.tripod.com/joeverdi/ IP: Logged |
