I'm trying to encode new music for a level. I can get so-so sound quality from Gamut, but I want to know if anyone knows how to convert .wma(Windows Media Player 7 file) to .wav, or .mp3 to .wav. I thought that Media player 7 would support .wav encoding, but it doesn't. Anyone have a good program out there for this, or know how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!IP: Logged |

Use MP32wav. This will convert mp3's to wav @ 44100 which you ban then convert down in quality & size with Windows Sound Recorder.IP: Logged |

Hello starfire, For converting mp3's to waves and back, I really like CDEX http://www.cdex.n3.net/ It's easy and the out quality is high. Also good is WhiteTiger, but I don't know if they still exist.IP: Logged |

Just found this forum!Another way, if you have "winamp," is to go into preferences and change output from the sound card to a wave file. Winamp is free. I think "tucows" has it in their download section. ------------------ A picture is worth a thousand words, and takes even longer to download. IP: Logged |
