I am using trellix to post pictures on my site. Unfortunately, while the pictures themselves are high quality, they appear in what looks like 256-color mode when I open them in trellix. How is this fixed? It would be nice to have hi-color pictures on my site. Also, is it possible to add a site counter to my site?------------------ Visit my site at http://members.tripod.com/joeverdi/ [This message has been edited by Raider of Tombs (edited 02-04-2001).] IP: Logged |

Hello trellix for some stupid reason converts all image files to .gif format when you publish to the web.The only way I can see to get around this is to upload the pic files on tripod seperate from publishing and add html to your pages to refference those types of pics.Im not sure on the exact script you need, but there are alot of script archives on the net it shouldn't be to hard for you to find.Good luck!IP: Logged |

Thanks, I'll try that, but I don't know much about HTML, so no guarantees.IP: Logged |

As far as hit counters, I use BeSeen on both my sites www.tombraider-customlevels.fsnet.co.uk and www.loose-in-the-eastend.fsnet.co.uk I found them through Yahoo I think, they e-mail u with some html script that you insert on to your page and ... that's it!! That's good, but I am using trellix to make my site, and I don't know how to view (or edit directly) the HTML code.------------------ Visit my site at http://members.tripod.com/joeverdi/ IP: Logged |

Hello again,to insert html into your pages is pretty easy with trellix. All you do is click on the area of the page you want to put the counter/then go up to "insert"(up top)/on the list at the bottom click "Web Gems" on the pop-up window select "Build your own Web Gem"/on the new pop-up paste the script for your counter into the box/hit insert on the bottom and your done.Just goto preview and you can see your new counter.Theres lots of places to get counters for your site,I use http://www.bravenet.com/ they have alot of cool stuff for web sites and you can customize the look of you counters.Good luck!!!!!------------------ IP: Logged |
