Is there any way to increase the maximum objects that the editor uses

What IS the maximum number of objects? Does "objects" include baddies, doors, pickups, and architecture items??

Im talking about the 256 objects that you can place in your levels. In the room status window the maximum number of objects is listed as 256. Is there any way to increase that number.

Most definitely not...this is a hardcoded issue. If you are pushing the limits, it's time to make a 'part II'! In TRLA, when the first level became too big, Philip Campbell split the level and continued with the same basic WAD and textures to create a 'second half'.
