I just finished a program to copy meshes between WADs. The textures don't work yet, but I'll fix this soon. See http://trwad.8m.com for more information and downloading it.Michiel IP: Logged |

Er, your hyperlink for the download doesn't work - it's linked to the file you have on your computer's hard drive. You have to actually upload the file to your server. I would love to check it though - I have actually been working on a program similar to this one in VB as well. So if you could e-mail the program to me sometime or something that'd be great! Thanx ------------------ Rock on. 85 IP: Logged |

Sorry for the bad link, but Frontpage always change the name. Try http://trwad.8m.com/download and you can download it. use http://trwad.8m.com/WADMerger to view the information.About the editor, I only tested it on the old CITY.WAD, ANGKOR.WAD, CATACOMBS.WAD and COASTAL.WAD. If you have problems, tell me where you get it and what the error is. Michiel IP: Logged |

Ok heres a bit better discription of what the merger is doing:Im moving "static meshes"from the tut1 wad to the city wad on the 6th item i try to move a pop-up window appears and it says "run-time error '9':subscript out of range" and the program crashes. So thats basically it I hope this information is helpful.Im still playing around with it moving just a few items at a time hopefully i'll get the hang of it soon. Thanks again!------------------ IP: Logged |

I fixed the bug with the error number 9 and also an other bug with the textures that sometimes overlap. I just uploaded version 1.2 and the download link works (I hope). In this version you can save your meshes as an TRWAD file. This is a small file (200 KB uncompressed) that contains 1 tile with the texture information and the mesh data. This can be usefull if you have a new or edited mesh.Good luck and tell me all the bugs you find. Michiel IP: Logged |

Hello again just d'loaded the new version 1.2 and it does seem to be working better. But I've encountered another problem:I moved the Architecture 0 from ankor wad into the city wad and when I went to play my level the textures on the object were messed up some of the original look could still be made out but somthing like half of the object was square brown blockes.I really appreciate all the effort you've put into the merger and good luck!------------------ IP: Logged |

I finally got it but when I run it it says unexpected error. Is it the runtime, if so where can I get it.------------------ Never give-up! unless the situation is hopeless:) The only thing certain in life is uncertainty!
