You're really going to hate me for asking, but one thing I've noticed about our group is the interest in doing 3 things... web sites, levels, and new outfits. Because of your initial hard work, the city wad template has had wide spread use. It's no coincidence most of the new outfits are for the city.wad, but can we neglect the others in good concious??? Are they not worthy of new outfits as well??? Does Eidos not scoff at us for only completing a portion of the job??? ( okay, I'm pushing it now ).Even if you did only two or three additional wad.bmp templates, the versatility of new level design mixed with appropriate outfits would be outstanding. I would bet as well, that if the lot of us who are out there designing outfits would assist as well. And yes, I still have my "cropped top/halter" outfit for city.wad, which I'm converting and improving for New City. Once I'm done, it wouldn't take much effort to make a template for other's use. An advanced template could be designed that takes the specific texture patches for each object, labels them by location on the model, creating a brand new file where you could edit, then cut/paste to any wad as you like. You could also simply outline the larger texture patches with a neon color to save the original "shading" of certain areas, and as before color in the pesky lil color patches that are impossible to find it seems. It just makes sense that if one or all of us jump on this, it will save the rest of us countless hours of eye-bending labor. The end result of course would be a vast amount of different outfits fit for any occasion, from jumping down slimey sewer holes, battling the icey cold of polar regions, to being pulled into an adventure when a girl is just out clubbing and trying to have a little bit of fun. Okay, that's my pitch... what do the rest of you think??? Drake

Well, as you say, technology IS advancing, and I am rejoicing in the splendour that is...WAD MERGER!!! If you want, say my camo outfit in the city wad you put that Lara in there and I suppose it works that way. I think most design in the city.wad because it has the bike in it. I DO EXPECT, HOWEVER, TO SEE PLENTY OF NEW COSTUMES FOR THE KV5 OR JEEP LEVEL. Wad sets with the best things in them always have alll the outfits..I mean there are, to my knowledge, only two young Lara outfits cos angkor is a boring wad.IP: Logged |

Hi, I would be glad to make new templates for other WADs, I'll get started now. The reason I used the city wad was because it was the most modern, and had the bike. from what I'd heard, most levels were tilting towards modern themes and the bike was a bonus. While using WAD merger is a good idea, in the intrest of simplicity, I will go ahead and start creating, and thanks for the feedback!------------------ Visit my site, The Tomb Raider Library, at http://TRLibrary.tripod.com or e-mail me at joeverdi@excite.com IP: Logged |

If you were to post your crop top outfit on the web, I could host it on my site, given our difficulties e-mailing. By the way, I have had much trouble making a crop top outfit - how's it done? This was my problem: IP: Logged |

Mine too actually, and I never did get around it, other than to say, "OK, we'll call it a halter, put a back strap on the 3rd texture up." The first two textures on her lower back are identical, one being below the color patch in your examp pic. So those two texture patches either have to be "top" color, or skin. I used skin tones for that. Its not perfect by any means, but if you want a cropped top look, this is about the only way to do it.As far as posting what I have on a website, I have *zero* experience with html code, its enough for me to get a couple hours a day to work on the outfit or my level. I can try sending once again what I have to another website owner if there's anyone out there willing. Drake ------------------ ~`~ thou art crunchy and goeth well with brie ~`~ IP: Logged |

I re-read my last post and want to clarify that.... the patches Raider pointed out are "shirt" color, not skin toned... We can't have Lara remotely naked... its just not fitting for a proper english girl.Drake

"remotely" is pushing it, now. As long as we remain decent, we can still be risque, non? NOTE: THIS IS A JOKE! IP: Logged |

wow... but alas, Lara is in 3D and not 2D. The structure of her breasts pretty much dictates that she needs a garment between them, otherwise it just doesn't look right. Now the thong bikini bottom looks "really" good, but what did you do with her holsters? For the cropped top outfit, I was going to go with a tad shorter shorts, but not this skimpy... Lara would be horrified! Drake ------------------ ~`~ thou art crunchy and goeth well with brie ~`~ IP: Logged |

That looks weird!!!! lol I was thinking about something the other day...you know TR4 and TR5 use the same Lara....and apparently there has been talk in the forum about getting TR5 wads, well, if that is the case then it surely IS possible to give Lara trousers!! I mean look at the VCI level and she is in the catsuit thingy. So if it is the same kind of wad used in tr5 as used in tr4, then we must be able to give her trousers. Or there is the case that they modified the wads in tr5..meaning tr5 wads are a no go area.if you get me!!!IP: Logged |
