Ok, heres a real puzzle for any of the techs out there....... Just got the LE and I have a major problem. Whenever I open the program I have one of two problems: 1. The editor opens, and the pointer moves, but the map screen and texture screen remain blank. No load dialogs appear, and the mouse plays that old familiar "comb" song - clickckckckckckc clackckckck clickckc - and doesnt interact with the screen. 2. The editor begins to open, but a Ddhelp error appears and says: WINROOMEDIT caused an invalid page fault in module WINROOMEDIT.EXE at 017f:00445573. Registers: EAX=00000000 CS=017f EIP=00445573 EFLGS=00010286 EBX=00000000 SS=0187 ESP=0082fd70 EBP=00400000 ECX=ffffffff DS=0187 ESI=00000006 FS=193f EDX=00000000 ES=0187 EDI=00a54240 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 8b 10 8d 4c 24 0c 6a 01 51 6a 01 50 ff 52 50 50 Stack dump: ffffffff 3f800000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00444458 00000000 00000000 0082fe38 00720000 fffffffc ffffffe9 00000404 00000304 My system meets/exceeds the requirements at all points, my drives are VERY healthy with plenty of space, and the only time Ive ever gotten the program to work is when Ive been online (program JUNO 5.0). My video/audio are updated (Nvidia TNT2 M64 pro video/Aureal Vortex audio), whats wrong? Help!

When the editor opens, it usually asks whether you want to load last autosave, sometimes this bos disappears before you can click on it. If that happens you will have to shut down the editor, re-open it and try again, sometimes a re-boot is the only solution. You could try linking .prj to the editor then dble click your prj to open it. I haven't actually tried it but it's a thought. You have presumably set your screen size and resolution to suit the editor as it is rather fussy about this.Col. ------------------ Come and visit us for all manner of TRLE related goodies New this week Palace of Cyrus and The Lost Compass levels, plus a funky new download page and the chance to vote for your favourite level...and bats!!! Well, Ive tried it in 16 and 32 bit (and Id agree it does indeed work in 32 bit - seen it myself on a friend PC). However, for some reason, in 32 or 16 not on my PC - These are the specs: SOYO Apollo 133 motherboard (ready for up to 1.5 GB RAM, 1 + GB Processor, double stacking ready, Ultra ATA) Pentium II 350 MHZ 2 - 20 GB Western Digital Hard Drives Ultra ATA 32 MB TNT2 Nvidia Riva M64 video Proview 986 19 inch monitor 16 MB Aureal Vortex 3D audio Or at least, a relevant list. Anyhow, odd thing is, Level Editor only works on this system when Juno 5.0 is open, doesn't even need to be online apparently. Im going to contact the tech support there to find out what it does with Ddhelp (exactly) while open, and what effect it has on my display as well. I can only assume it does something that may "patch" the Level Editor. And in the long run, that could be really good news all around. IP: Logged | |
