I cannot praise this program enough!!! I have with very little effort, using the newcity.wad as a base... deleted objects and puzzle items I will not be using, replaced the domestic dog with the **** dog from Set's tomb, added a wild boar from the coastal wad as well as keys and doors, and puzzle items from karnak... without so much as one single glitch!!! The textures were transfered perfectly ( not sure what Raider did to mess them up when he tried ) and outside of a small thing concerning the devil dog negotiating a narrow doorway, it all works and looks fantastic!I highly reccomend this program to *all* level designers. At some point, I'll email the mike and see if he can address the issue concerning a base "Lara wad" for purposes of outfit design and we'll see if those issues can be fixed, as I never did get the program to allow me to move and replace her skins and joints. *grin* I guess we just have the touch no? Did you read through the help section by chance paying close attention to the add/replace section as well as the section on dependancies? I also must admit that I didn't try to "save as" opping to simply overwrite the newcity.wad to see if it worked ok.Good luck! Yes! This is one kick butt program! I've created one wad with parts of almost all the other wads and have only one glitch. One texture on Lara is wrong and the one under her armpits (I assume it's the same one) is totally missing (or it's transparent). Otherwise, this thing is great! I can't wait to have the ability to make any object take the place of any other object. I really need a pushable block!

I added a section to the web page about why the textures may be incorrect. It has to due with the fact that Tomb Raider can only use about 4MB of texture memory before things start getting screwy. You either need to cut down on the number of objects in the wad or the number of different room textures. I won't discount the possibility that TRwest may have a problem with the texturing but the only time I've had textures go weird is when there is a lot of textures being used, and I did verify by hand that the textures that appeared incorrect had the right data in the wad and the resultant level. Which means you can't put every single TR object in a single wad , it was one of the first things I tried to do mike

One word of caution, if you are distributing levels with custom WADS, make sure you output the script file at the same time as you save the WAD. If you try to create a script from a previously saved customised wads, the script won't work when you send it with your tom, as all the bits you've added are now listed as part of the original WAD.That said, this thing kicks tail!! Yeah, I realized that and removed a couple, but it didn't work. In the end I ended up re-importing most of the part for Lara and it cleared it up.
