I've just been on the German forum. On there they had so many posts from people commenting on levels they had played that they created a separate forum for reviews. Anyone else think this is a good idea? At the very least we should post on here what we thought of various levels, We (Tomb Raider Custom Levels) are constantly being asked to introduce a ratings system so people know what to download, because of this we introduced the favourite level vote so you can see what's popular, but this forum get a lot more hits than we ever will.In the interest of practising what I whinge, I've just played Temple of Jazimiya, it's in Angkor WAD, so no guns, which I think makes gameplay more of a priority and this has tons of it, full of puzzles and exploring and certainly not linear but still logical. It's not flawless, had to dozey to escape some illegal slopes but one of the most enjoyable levels I've played. Right, I've said my bit, over to you!! I did...all 6Mb of it, I thought we'd received 20 new levels overnight!! The only thing I'd suggest is try using the ' key to capture it as a .tga and see if that is clearer or reduce it in size and place it on a black background Col. ------------------ Come and visit us for all manner of TRLE related goodies New this week Temple of Jazimiya, The Ice Pyramid, Palace of Cyrus and The Lost Compass levels, plus a funky new download page and the chance to vote for your favourite level...and bats!!! Pity no-one has kept this thread going Colin.... so here goes.... I downloaded all the levels from your site today bar 3 which for whatever reason I couldn't get.Seeing as it is the level which is getting all the hits I started with Tomb of the Nelomgals......... It took me ages to play, I kept going round in circles, mainly because lara would not place the pharos knot for some reason.... the levels is in no way linear, in fact it is downright confusing at times and you tend to get bum-rushed by all the skeletons on the level until you find the appropriate weaponry.... lol The corridor with the flashing lights was a nice touch as were the secrets. Overall, it was a very good level but having access to virtually the entire map from the start made it overly tricky..... Anyone have a map? Anyone else care to give their review of a level and keep this going? ------------------ I WAS PRESSING THE DARN WALK BUTTON !! Dark Fall is a good level! I think I'm close to the end and it has really been a good level. There are skeletons at the first, but you do get a shotgun & enough shells to blow 'em off the bridge. The only thing is, though, don't get killed after you trigger a flip map. I did and when I reloaded a saved game, the ladder in the flip map was gone. I couldn't go back and reset it either. The flip map switch only goes one way. Other than that (software glitch, I'm sure), I think it is a very good level. How's that?------------------ It's easier to get forgiveness than permission IP: Logged |

Entersandman..... that was one of the only levels I had played untill now and yes.... it is excellent...... I didnt get stuck with the flip-map bug.... but I know someone else who had the same problem..... I just hope Rogerio is still making levels, because that one was at least as good as most of the stuff from core themselves!!!!!! ------------------ I WAS PRESSING THE DARN WALK BUTTON !! That's what I thought! I DO think it is as good as a Core level. I've started playing it again and am going to save more than one place other than overwriting the same save. You'd think I should know better.BTW, Rogerio IS making another level. I sent him an e-mail to tell him how much I liked his level and he e-mailed me back asking me if I wanted to beta test his next level (blush). Of course I said I would! Oh yeah, if you like puzzles, try "Caves Of Amun". I really got into it until one part where you have to jump, flip, grab, brush and floss a few times all in a row. I died so many times that my thumb prints are gone. I'll go back to finish it after I finish "Dark Fall". IP: Logged |

Hey, here's another one. That fairly new level simply entitled "Egyptian" at Tomb Raider Custom Levels is a pretty decent level....for a first level. It's generated quite a few downloads, too.------------------ It's easier to get forgiveness than permission IP: Logged |
