In my new level i have a set of stairs then i have railings on the side, but part of the railings overlap the stairs and cause that flickering affect, do you think i should keep the railings or get rid of them? this is what my level looks like, if the pic doesnt show right click, hit properties, and go to the url. thanks!

Did you try placing the railing object on the ceiling and then lowering it down to the stairs from above with the q/a keys. You'll have to do this same technique a lot when stacking poles or placing waterfalls, etc.

If the two objects dont overlap then they should not be flickering. You're talking about the object flickering right? If they still flicker try changing the object lighting or use a shadow with a low int setting to offset the imbalance.

Had this problem with railings also. Found the problem arose when I changed my TGA set, the original set had an animated graphic (water) in the location which my railing now end up. Problem was solved by pressing animation ranges and checking. Have you changedyour TGA set?

No need to change unless you want different graphics, but check if the graphic animated by checking "animation range". Also useful to use Texture Edit program to remove graphic tiles your not using and import others that improve the level. Did you try pressing "no collision" onto the square and those next to it ?

Rather off topic, but we really need a way to rotate objects around the x and z axis, don't we?

When you placed the stairs, did you make sure you applied the transparent color to the slope beneath the stair object? (Use the black color from the upper left corner of the palette beneath the editor window..not the transparency button) This will get rid of the flickering.

i tried using the black sqaure but i realized that is for if the STAIR was flickering but in my case, it is the raling that is flickering, i could split the slope into two section(like raising on the wall to fix streched textures) then i could fix it, does anyone know how to do this? thanks
