I know most everybody probably has tried the Easylife program, but I hadn't until yesterday, so there may be one or two of you who haven't also. Easylife is a good name for this program because it makes your level editing much easier. If you haven't tried this program you're making level editing harder on yourself than need be.

Just wanted to say thank you, Colin, for creating such a wonderful program and sharing it with the rest of us. Very well done, indeed!

BTW, my name is EnterSandman not Sandman. Thanks!

Hey ! Try to use my tool that manage all the script files for you and even the load.bmp and uklogo.pak. You'll be able to make all the changes you want by simple clicks to add/change/delete levels from your script files and also change the name of the items.

Just have a look to my home page and download this tool (AUTOSCRIPT) and tell us what you think about it.

And there you go! Another great site for Tomb Raider fans. Your site, along with the many others, is a treat to visit. Thanks to you and all the others who use their time to make level editing more fun, easy, and simple to create.

The level editor has come such a long way since its release, because of all the people who, so graciously, create tools that aid in level creation that (wiping a tear) it is like a Tomb Raider revolution.

It's also very nice to see how everyone gets along without trying to compete over different sites, tools, levels and such (hint). I mean, we're all shooting for the same goal: to ultimately create enjoyable levels for each other to play. Right?

Anyway, thanks to all out there who put personal time into making things easy for the rest of us. You definately are appreciated!

And now, the National Anthem.....

You know, I hate competition.

The tools I try to make are first to make my level editing easier. After that, I think other people should use my work too. So I put them for free.

I'm not an addict to hard programming, but sometimes, little tools can help many people to accelerate their job and be more efficient to make great levels, after what everyone should get a great benefit by playing more and more levels...

Anyway, I thank all the other fans for their tools or their sites (Col for all the levels you can find, Mike for TRWEST (the best tool for me), and all others for the future...

Thank you both for your comments. I presume you've read the little spat between us and tr chronicles. This stems from them banning us because they said we were spamming for using our banner as a sig (something which is common practice on the Eidos forum), whilst replying to queries on their forum.

At the end of the day, we do the website for love, so hits is what makes it worthwhile. We put a lot of effort into presenting and promoting the levels we receive, but we (myself and Raider Nut), like to think we also give a lot to this forum, by way of advice and support, rather than just publicise ourselves. This whole level editor thing has amazed me in the way that people have been so creative in the levels I've seen, but also the tools that have appeared to further enhance the whole thing. We have something good going on here....hooray for the underdog!

Col.

MagPlus,

Sometimes it's hard to know how to take a person's post since you are just reading words. I think my last reply may have been misunderstood by you and probably others. If that is the case, then I offer my most humble appology. I really would not say anything to cause discord on this wonderful BB full of knowledge.

When I went to your site, I meant what I said ("And there you go! Another great site for Tomb Raider fans.") It IS another great site and I'm very thankful that you told me about it. I am excited about downloading your tools and trying them out and I also know you weren't trying to compete with anyone by telling me about your site and the tools for download. If I gave that impression, I'm very sorry.

Now when I hinted about competition, and I did hint (hint), I was referring to a couple of posts that I recently read earlier. Had absolutely nothing to do with you. Now that I think of it, the posts I read were probably just in good humor. If that is the case, I offer my appology to everyone who reads this reply.

The bottom line in my way of thinking is that this BB is fantastic support for the level editor and my thanks goes out to each and every one of you who help me, and others, out with questions no matter how simple they may be. And thanks to everyone who has a site devoted to the level editor with tools, textures and levels to download. Again, I would not "slam" anyone on here for anything. Especially when I rely on you guys for guidance.

MagPlus, maybe I misunderstood your reply. Maybe you are just making a statement and nothing more, but I sort of got the feeling that you were upset with my reply. I hope that is not the case because like I said, people like me rely on people like you for guidance.

Thanks again for letting me know about your site. And it is a very nice site, indeed.

To all: In the future, if I post a topic or reply and it sounds like I'm being a smart alec, I'm not trying to be.

As you might have guessed, I'm at work again with coutless hours of time on my hands as long as things stay in order. See you guys later on tonight.

Unlike Eidos, who have already sold us something. I realise now it was naive to publicise on their forum as I'm potentially taking people away from their site. However, I wholeheartedly agree with EnterSandman and MagPlus' comments that we as a community, though disparate and far-flung, are moving this thing on. Let's keep it up!

Col...and for once no sig.
