I've got a switch and two flip rooms. I've managed to trigger one flip map when you flip the switch but the other one wont work! and neither will the flip effect (flood sound) Help!! IP: Logged |

I have an empty hole in the ground and a lever switch. When the lever switch is pulled the hole fills with water, and that works fine. But when I try to trigger a second flip map on the same lever switch (for the room above the pool room) and it doesn't work, and they are both seperate numbers like - pool room - flip 1 - room above - flip 2. AND the flip effect (noise of water filling a hole!) doesn't work either. Help!! IP: Logged |

Lari, don't know if this will help you or not, but here goes:Try clicking the lever switch and then clicking the pink (looks purple to me) button to trigger your flipped room. Also, and I've made this mistake, is the "w" clicked in your 2nd flipped room? As for the water sound, I made a .wav and triggered it to the lever switch also, not the square underneath the switch, but clicking the actual switch and then triggering it. Tell ya what, I'm not very good at explaining things, obviously, but you can download my first level from: http://members.aol.com/richleedy/egyptian.zip and get the .prj file along with the water .wav file (001). I know what you are trying to do and I've done it in my first level. So if my explanation wasn't very good, you can download and view the .prj file to see how I did mine. Hope this helps. ------------------ It's easier to get forgiveness than permission IP: Logged |

Lara......... if you want both flip-maps to activate at the same time, the simply give them both the same number....... just set a normal trigger for the flipmaps under the switch and set your switch trigger. (my first level had 5 rooms all flipped at once from a pick-up trigger.....) As for the flip-effect sound... I know the manual says to set the number in the field to 11 (I think), but it also says the sound must be assigned to the level (WAD) you are using...... sorry can't be of anymore help on this one. ------------------ I WAS PRESSING THE DARN WALK BUTTON !! Inchdix,While helping Lara, you actually helped me too. I didn't know you could have more than one flipped room with the same number. I will use that in my next level (the wheels are turning). Also, I probably should've mentioned that instead of using the flip effect for the water sound, I took the original flip effect water sound (I think this is right), burned it to a CDRW as an audio track and recorded it, via the software that came with my computer, into the correct format (I can't remember the specs right off) and gave it the the name of 001.wav. You can find the actual .wav I did in my zipped level per the above address. Don't know if this might help anybody, but it might. Thanks again Inchdix for the info! ------------------ It's easier to get forgiveness than permission IP: Logged |

No wonder it wasn't working!!! I had them set to three different numbers! Thanx! But I'm having no luck with the flooding sound flip effect (which is 2 in the manual).IP: Logged |

Yeah I did. Thanx. To get it to play when I pull the switch, do I just trigger it on the same square? No special trigger types?IP: Logged |
