hey there I have just started playing around with wad retexturing. rather then focusing on outfits right now I'm geting into other areas in an atempt to better mach up my objects with my room textures. I've just given the motorbike a custom paint job. my problem is importing other textures onto the bitmap, and having them line up properly.
I'm useing strpix to get the bitmap out of the wad, and then using tedit2.0 to place new texturs onto the wad bitmap. I'm useing the resize feture to line up my target location. for example I've just copied over the bike wheel with a crome rim. I had to use the resize to drop it in the right spot. I resized the bitmap to it's origanal 256x2560 and saved back to wad. the wheel looks grate in game but it's mesed up moste of the other texturse. I'm sure this can be done as i've seen outfits with real cloth textures. can any of you texture wizards help me out?
P.S. keep in minde I'm limited to photosuite III and M.S. paint and a trial
version of adobe paint shop 6, and I don't
like to pay for softwear. Thanx YAll!

Just trial and error, I suppose! The only way I've found to get textures to line up is to draw them skew so they straighten out in the game. Tell us if you figure out an easier way!
