Don't know if this will work for you, but this is what I had to do. First, I took the sound I wanted to record and turned it into a regular .wav file (not the 44/16 stereo deal). Second, I burned the .wav to CDRW as an audio track (like a real song would be). Third, I recorded the sound file from the CDRW to my hard drive in the 44/16 stereo as 001.wav (also one they don't have). Last I put the the 001.wav into my audio folder and when I triggered it, it worked perfectly. Hope this might give some kind of insight. ------------------ It's easier to get forgiveness than permission IP: Logged |

Sure! Tell me which sound file you want from the samples folder and I'll get it to you. It will be some time before I can get it to you, though, because I'm at work right now and have about 11 1/2 more hours to go. Just let me know which one you need. There is probably an easier way to do this than what I'm doing with the CDRW, but I this is all I know. ------------------ It's easier to get forgiveness than permission IP: Logged |

Hey Nigel try saving it as microsoft adpcm 44,100hz 4 bit stereo. I don't think 16 bit will work __ROB__IP: Logged |

That's right, I don't know what I'm thinking. It's not 44/16, it's 44Khz, 8-bit and in Microsoft ADPCM Wav format. Monolith mentioned that in another post dealing with sound/.wav files.Try the format above, Nigel, and I'll still send you those 2 files after I get home tonight. ------------------ It's easier to get forgiveness than permission IP: Logged |

I think I might have said it was 8-bit, but 4 bit should be the default for one of ADPCM files, dont worry, it still sounds good. I ripped a 128k mp3 into wav and then into ADPCM wav and it still sounded great, I recommend music match jukebox to do the conversion and then Sound Forge XP or equiv to do the conversion to ADPCM.
