My brother was using the TRLE when I was at boarding school and he said that he could not run the game. I tried it and the room editor and the level converter and they both worked fine. However when I tryed to run 'Tomb Raider Setup' and 'Run Tomb Raider' it said it had performed an illegal operation. He said he did not change any of the script data. Both of these were working fine a few weeks ago. At the moment I can't reinstall it because the disk is cracked. Could someone please post a message if anyone has an idea of what happened?

No idea if this applies to your situation, but a few times TR has crashed on me and quit to the desktop. When I try to run it again, it won't run. What I didn't realise was that TR was still running in the background. try pressing CTRl+ALT+DELETE and looking for Tomb4 in the list of running programs. If it is there, selest it and choose 'end task' and it will work when you try to open it again. If it isn't there, then this isn't your problem and I hope that you get an answer soon.

Try replacing your script and english files with the originals. If you didn't back them up originally, use the files in a customlevel. Or mail me and I will send you the originals

I replaced script and english files with the originals and it still did'nt work. I then replaced all the script data and nothing happened. I think I will give up on this one if no one had any further suggestions.
