Topic: Help me finish my level

I have created a level with 60 or so rooms so far. The level is very open ie. lots of big doors and stacked rooms to make a large outdoors area that leads up to a big castle type building. In the most recent room i need to use flipmaps to get up in the room. But i found that i can only use 1 flip map in the whole level or it will crash in the level converter. everything else works fine. I have used flipmap1 at the start and want to use 5 or 6 flipmaps in this next series of rooms to get up on the roof. No matter what i do it just keeps crashing but only when i use more than 1 flipmap.I've deleted the rooms and rebuilt them but it still crashes. I dont want to scrap this level as it is the second part of Gates of Ishtah. Any thoughts? IP: Logged |

Try this...back up all your prj's and tga's, uninstall trle, re-install, open winroomedit open your prj when it's open, reload your objects and tga, save the prj, close winroomedit, open it again, and reload the prj you just saved, now output the WAD. You may get some error messages when you re-open the prj, but hopefully it will either give you some clues or repair the error for you.I am a bit stumped as to why you can't flip at only 60 rooms, but give it a try. I may be wrong on this, but I dont think it is neccessarily the amount of rooms but the size of them....... I looked at someones prj that crashed at around 20 rooms..... but they were all 18 x 18 rooms at 20 clicks.I have this theory that if you over-do it with the actual volume of space used in your level, then this will crash the editor.
