Hi everyone I know im a lil rusty, havent messed with the editor in like a month but im having a hard time getting the basic cam with a target to snap back to Lara after being trigered by a switch. I have done it before with no problem but must have just forgot the right steps. I tryed using the timer in the cam trigger window and using the timer in the cams ocb but still cant get it to snap back to Lara. The trigger works fine and so does the target but I only want it to work for about 4 seconds then snap back to Lara. The only way I can get it to snap back to Lara now is to move her or press the look button while the cam is on.....that
kinda sucks...somebody please refresh my memory..and sorry for beingso long winded....DG

The Basic camera stays on as long as Lara remains on the trigger, or until "Look" is pressed, or a weapon is drawn.

However, do like I did in a similar situation. Use a "Flyby" sequence of cameras with only one camera in the sequence. Set bit 8 to make the camera pause only for the setting in the timer.

Point the camera per instructions in the manual to point as desired.

IMPORTANT: The info in the manual about the timer setting is wrong!!! The manual says this value divided by 30 is the number of seconds. Lots of people don't thing the timer works. The cause is that...

THE CORRECT NUMBER IS 300 !!!

Thus 900 will result in 900/300 = 3 secs pause.

Hope this helps.

drastic, I used the fixed camera and it works fine. (The instructions for the fixed camera are on page 48 in the manual). I'm not sure about how to set the timing, but it snaps back to Lara with no problems everytime I use it. (With this method, the camera shot duration is about 2 seconds). Hope this helps. DRW
