Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I want a switch to open a door, and I want the camera to show the door opening. I've done this countless times with fly-bys, but I'm having trouble doing it with a fixed cam.
Here's what I did:
-I placed my switch and my door. I then placed a camera about three squares from the door, and a target directly in front of the door. The target arrow is pointing at the door.
-I triggered the switch to the floor as a "SWITCH" trigger. I then use that same square to trigger the door and the camera and the target. I set the timer for the camera so it holds its view for 3 seconds.
-When I test my level, everything works, except the camera does not point at the door, which must mean the target isn't being triggered. WHY? It points at Lara instead (except Lara's in the switch room, so you can't actually see her.)

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I know what the problem is. Select the trigger of your target. Click to bring up the menu, you see in the left corner "object". Click on it and select "target" from the menu. Tata, problem fixed...

set the trigger for the switch as a switch under itself: put A FLYBY CAM where you want to put the cam: set the trigger for the cam down the switch: then highlight the cam and press O: then press 0-8-6-14: for the meaning of them, read the manual: write about 900 for the timer: after that put an heavy trigger for the door in the square under this cam: if the cam is in an upper room, put the heavy trigger for the door in the lower room, (even if the lower room is a water room) but it has to be in the square corrispondent under the cam: hope this helps

These are good solutions but I think that somethng is not being said and I want to ask or throw it out there because I know for a fact in the past.....before the udated and new wads that there were no cam problems. You could use a basic cam and hold it for what ever length of time with out any problems and as far the flyby cam goes....well I dont have to put any high numbers like 900 for a 3 second shot. It works fine the way it is for me, if I put 3 in the ocb then it works for 3 seconds and so on. But what is different is the basic cam and how its timer is working since the updates..............Did we lose cam functions for Lara animations?
