Hi friends!
I keep hearing about this "3DS 4" and how much you can do with it to enhance TR Level Editing. Is it freeware or shareware? Is it like AutoCAD? Can someone fill me in on the details?

Thank you!!

It does not exist a shareware version of that.... and no shareware version on none of professional CAD program... but you can find a freeware (but limited) CAD program that let you save your project in DXF completely compatible with AutoCAD at this address below: you have to register, and the CAD program is free for not commercial use, as all of us do: but sorry I did not tried it so I don't know if it uses the layers, as it is necessary for the correct use of strpix, as you surely know if you read the instruction of strpix in the turbo pascal site: here's the URL to you: www.intellicad.com

well I dobn't need a cad programm to edit dfx files only for those 3ds 4 files from TRviewer!

īRhino 1.1 should be good enough but I don't think that it can load those files can't it?

Rhino3D can import and export DXF files, and it has very easy layers tools.

well I checked my version of Rhino3D: it can import/export even from files by lightscape and 3dStudio, but don't know which version: probably 2 or 2,5.... But there it is said it can import dxf from autocad14, but I tried and it works even with dxf files from autocad2000.... so maybe rhino can import even from 3dstudio 3 or higher... simply try.
