Before sending my request to mike,

I would like to know if anybody had the same problem and founded the solution :

It seems that Lara's animation for switches or pushable objects are entire part of a WAD. When I try to import a switch into a WAD that does not support this kind of switch : Lara doesn't move or falls or takes a strange attitude.

For exemple, I copied the Tut1.WAD file into a Try.WAD file and tried to import the jump switch from the library WAD and the underwater switch 2 from the Times.tr4 file. For the first one, everything works except the sound, but for the second one, nothing works : Lara does not activate this switch.

I tried to do the opposite test by creating a new WAD from the Times.tr4 and copy the switches from the other WADs. The underwater switch works but not the others (Switch type 1 and 8 from Library.WAD and even the pushable objects).

What am I doing wrong, or is it possible to make such mixes, or what's the way to make that ?

(The problem does not occur with ennemies or static objects).

All I can suggest is to make sure you are not using the original wads, only use the new or revised wads. Most of the Lara's animations for her various actions are contained in the LARA object and the new/revised wads were released so that, among other things, this object contains all her known animations. Personally, I always use the library wad as the base wad and use the Lara.TWS script (available for download on the web site) to load all the required objects, eg Lara's animations and inventory items. Of the two test levels available for download from the site, the first one has a jump switch and the second has an underwater switch and both work fine in those levels (and both do use the library wad as a base).

Many thanx for your answer.

Yes, I use the revised WADS.

I will try to remake my WAD using the library.wad as the base and import all the statics, doors, puzzles, moveable, pushables and switches from the other WADS.

I'll tell you back the results.

I also have a problem with sound processing for ROLLINGBALL. Sometimes, it works and sometimes not. I choose a letter for my level and put it in the sound.txt file and use PCWADFX to create the SFX files.

For example, I added the letter "#c" in the line ROLLINGBALL in the sound.txt file and now, I can hear the sound when playing my level based on the settomb.wad. I tried to make the same for my new level which have the letter "#d", but it still doesn't work. I make multiple tests, but may be, not the right ones. Anyway, I'll try to fix this little problem by myself.

Many thanx again for your help.
