Are you changing both the script and English files? Make sure the level name is exactly the same in both. Also in the english file you cannot add a level you need to overwrite one that is already there.

You may know all this already but these are the first things I`d check.

Hmmm..I `ve never had that message. If you like you could email me your script and english files and I`ll take a look for ya. But I`m sure someone else will have the answer.

"Qui va la j't'en prie ?"

As per our conversation earlier in chat dksm:

  • make a safe copy of TUT1.TOM
  • output your PRJ file to TUT1.TOM
  • convert your TUT1.TOM to TUT1.TR4
  • rename TUT1.TR4 to groovy.TR4, in the DATA folder
  • now change the name of the file in the SCRIPT.TXT file: Level= DATA\TUT1,107 to Level= DATA\GROOVY,107
  • make any other changes in both SCRIPT and ENGLISH TXT files (name of the level it will come under on load screen...)
  • compile (script script.txt) and move ENGLISH.DAT, SCRIPT.DAT and STRINGS.h from script folder into TRLE folder.

By doing the above, you will disable the original TUT1 level though.
If you wish to have both your own level and TUT1 installed, you need:

  • COPY/PASTE the TUT1 BLOCK in the script.txt file (create a new TUT1 block) changing the name of the file to Level= DATA\GROOVY,107
  • copy all the TUT1 files from the GRAPHICS/WADS folder into a safe folder
  • rename them TUT1 files (in the save folder) to GROOVY
  • move all the renamed files back into the GRAPHICS/WADS folder
  • make necessary changes in ENGLISH and SCRIPT txt files (name f the level it will come under on load screen)
  • compile the SCRIPT.txt file.

I know it sounds complex but, after doing it once you will then understand how it works!

Hope that helps....
