Firstly, are these the rules:You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post personal information about someone other than yourself. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you or Eidos Interactive, Inc owns the copyright. If they are, why is it that Conehead can display a link to his site that displays some of my artwork without permission and in a defamatory way ???? IP: Logged |

Dhama,I do not have any say in this one, although from reading some of the earlier posts, I believe that certainly Eidos should take some action here and I wish you all the best in getting this sorted out. I can only assume that this 'episode' is the reason for you to close down your site and if this is really so, I would like to urge you to re-think this decision. Why should a single person who is doing something wrong to you, deprive the whole community of your brilliant work - that would be really sad. Anyway, just a thought - all the best to you!

Thanks for your support Michael, and yes it is the reason that I have taken my site down. I will not be posting any more levels or artwork until he removes the said images from his site. I do not know why he is doing this, but if you have seen his site then you will realise why I am just a little upset by this. Doing it this way is the only option I have.

Saw his site. Went from his site. Pretty good artwork, Dhama. And, if they're really yours (and I doubt you would lie to us) I agree that Conehead has to remove them.

Dhama,I understand that you have strong feelings about this. However, if you want my opinion, closing down your site is not going to change anything about what Conehead is doing (I guess he is probably rather dancing around his room now, celebrating his success). Also (again, my opinion) if you are worried about 'bad reputation' or anything, then think again - those people who you would care about what they think of your artwork will know and most certainly will not care about the Coneheads of this world. Come on, don't let one weirdo depress you. This is the Internet age, you cannot force people to do or not do things easily (not legally and not via your type of approach), accept that as a fact and get on with what you do best!!! ------------------ HAPPY RAIDING! For future reference, we cannot take action if you do not file a compliant. Thus the onus is on you to notify the forum moderator of your copyright and that they are being violated. Please re-read the terms of use (especially the first and last paragraphs).Having said that, unless your images are original, by that I mean not derivative of Tomb Raider and/or any other Core/Eidos copyright or trademark, you will need to provide proof of your copyright before we can take action. If these are levels created using our level editor, well they are derivative and are not copyright protected except as described in the license agreement of the level editor. I hope this clairifies the matter. ------------------ RedLegg41 Forum Admin Eidos Interactive IP: Logged |

DhamaMan, the best thing you can do is ignore it. Maybe him taking your art wasn't aimed at you, he just wanted to some pictures to work out his own peculiarities and you came up. Just ignore and carry on regardless As Mike says we all know whassup Col.

I said this in the other section, but i will sate it agian her. since Dhama could not seem to tell me which ones were his i didn't know which ones to remove...but since i have consulted with someone else i now know which ones to remove and i have done so....Now Dhama, as i have explained before...ALL the pictures on my site have been submited to me...which means it WAS NOT ME who took them from your site, someone else sent them to me through email. so if you had told me which ones they were in the begining...none of this would have happenedIP: Logged |
