Hi! I'm just starting out and I am confused about the "Editor Window panel!?!"This first shot shows how it looks in the tutorial, but the second shot is what I see when I open the "Room Editor." Can someone tell me if I am missing something or is this what I am supposed to see? Thanks for your help!
OK, I'm not having any luck with the pics, but you can see them by clicking..."view image." Thanks again... ------------------ [This message has been edited by ME&LC (edited 05-22-2001).] IP: Logged |

Welcome!!My advice is: read on! Your manual shows the editor with a project loaded, which you have not done yet. Go to the Menu: Project + Load and select one of the existing PRJ files in the maps directory, ideally TUT1.PRJ - that will bring it closer to the picture the manual shows. If you seriously consider creating a level with the editor there is no way around going through that manual (yes, the whole manual) word by word. It has an excellent Tuturial Section which you should follow along by rebuilding the Tutorial Level. Once you are through that and still have questions, come to the forum and I am sure you will get all the help you need...

Hello I think the reason your pics didnt come out is cause homestead only uses .gif and .jpg for image files.I think its treating your .bmp like a downloading file.Try using a gif the pics will look almost the same but should work, and load quicker.Cheers!------------------ IP: Logged |
