When i try to load room editor i get this error message. Have loaded and unloaded and loaded the software again and have use the correct dispaly format. HELP!!!!!!

room editor or level converter that looks like a level converter error.

oops didnt see the winroomedit....never had that error before...

Like Colin just said: make sure your resolution is at 1024x768 and use a color depth of 16 bits, not 32 bits

First, your absolutely positive your in 16bit color. Second are selecting yes when it says load autosaved project, if so say no, load a different project then load the project you want, I have to do this sometimes
or I have the same problem. Let me know if it works.

i am in 16 bit and i don't get a chance to select anything.I select room edit and it loads the windows background window then errors.

Well I can't say I know whats wrong, and if reinstallation doesn't work then maybe your computer doesn't have the right components or something.

My sympathies go out to you Dazza65!
That is the same error I got (and still get) if I try to run the room editor. I've tried updated graphics drivers, everything, The only luck I ever had was I could, after re-installing seven, count em, seven times, start the program in 800 x 600. This let me load a room, but I couldn't do anything but rotate the room. My computer is identical to the reccomended system and everything. Maybe instead of exploding discs, we got bad .exe's or something!
anyway, if you have better luck with this than I did, let me know please.

I had the same kind of problem, try loading it in 800*600, that fixed mine.
