I had a really good idea of changing the script file for tomb raider the last revelation (so i could access any level (flyby cheat)) by going onto ms dos, typing script script.dat instead of .txt then copying the tr cd and pasting the new script file then using it as a copied disk, but you can't do it, it says access denied!!!!!

sorry dude, impossible!
-the flycheat only works with the special version of tomb4.exe that came with the LE and can't be used in the original game
-the reason you got the acces denied, is because the file is read-only
-you can't compile an already compiled script

and besides, fly cheating is not the way to play the game for a true gamer!

but if you really want it, you can download a patch to make Lara fly in the original game, don't know if it's for TR4 though

sorry driber but you're wrong about everything you just said because i've done exactly what he wanted with no problems all you have to do is copy all the files from the root folder of the trlr cd then copy the audio folder fmv folder and data folder then copy all those files onto a blank cdr highlight all the files in the root folder of your new disk and select properties and change the read only attr of all the files at once but before you do that use trwest 2.0 to decompile the script and english dat files then open the newely created script.txt file and change the flycheat and level lines to what you want then use easylife to make the new script and english dat files then you can make your cdr disk with all the cheats and levels activated

if I was wrong on the read only thing, then why did you changed the attributes of the files?
if I was wrong on the "can't compile an already compiled script", then why did you decompiled it with TRwest?
if I was wrong on the patch, then I suggest you read the posts on the newsgroup alt.games.tombraider

you see everything you said about not being able to use the flycheat on the original last revelation game is false because I've been playing last revelation with recompiled script and english dat files with and i repeat with flycheat and all levels active

the fact that you didn't answered my post, only proves you seem to be missing my point or are just to stubborn to admit it

I might be wrong about not being able to use the flycheat on the original tomb4.exe, but everything else I said I know is true, so don't even try it!

Come on, I didn't mean to start an argument, I just wanted to know how to do it, anyway, I've already completed it and I'm fed up of keeping a save for each level on my memory cards that is why I wanted to be able to use the flyby.
